A Norseman Thor Heyerdahl decided to sail across the Pacific Ocean on a balsa raft to prove his migration theory. He named this raft Kon-Tiki and his adventure became a worldwide event, although the theory was not proved. The travel description by Thor Heyerdahl became a popular work of popular science. It has been published twice in Estonian as a part of the Maailm ja Mõnda series. Therefore every person who has read this book will notice at once that there are six people on the raft (all men), but only five names can be read on a programme, let alone one of them being a woman. Why? Why did they trust their lives to currents, trade-winds and some cranky raft? We cannot forget that it was a time that gave the world innumerable amount of heroes. So, what kind of clarity of mind or deeper understanding might these people on the raft have reached? What kind of realization shall be reached in Käsmu?
