The concert performance ''Death Dance'' is based on Tõnu Kaljuste's idea to have Arvo Pärt's ''Stabat Mater'' and Thomas Adès's ''Totentanz'' meet and interact. The latter piece's motive originates from Bernt Notke's mediaeval painting, one of the versions of which is also found in Estonia – in St Nicholas's Church in Tallinn. The musical part of the two accoladed modern composers' works are linked by the conductor Thomas Adès himself and their dramatical part is brought out by Priit Võigemast and his team including Kristjan Suits, Emer Värk, Ingmar Jõela and Paavo Piik. The grand spectacle is presented only four times in Noblessner's foundry, opening in the autumn. The performance also heralds the start of the 2019 Arvo Pärt Days.

Tickets are available in Piletilevi from 20 May.
